Can I use these animated assets commercially: for a video, for broadcast, apps, etc.? expand_more

What file types are available? expand_more

For 2D emoji: vector .svg, lottie.json, .webp, and .gif. For 3D emoji: .png.

How do I download everything? expand_more

Currently, there is no way to download the whole set — the world is not ready for that many simultaneously dancing emoji.

Why aren’t all the emoji animated? expand_more

With nearly 4,000 emoji … we’re taking it one day at a time. You can expect more to be added in the future.

Why should I use Lottie? expand_more

Lottie animations use the .json file format to play predetermined vector animations. Among many benefits of using .json files, such as higher quality and lower file size vector graphics, .json files allow for dynamic properties. Lottie animations are rendered natively at run time, so you can modify many properties programmatically. This comes in handy for simple things like Light & Dark Mode. Engineers are empowered to handle complex modifications using opacity, scale, rotation, gradients and even stroke size. Read more at Lottie vs GIFs.

Do the animations start / end with the static emoji frame? expand_more

While each animation seamlessly loops, the static “start” frame is marked in the .json file as keyframe 'rest' (see also: Why should I use Lottie?).
